How do we know it won't turn out the same way
As the one before now and the one before that?
If we new our future, we all would just scatter
away from this place, away from the world,
into some other reality all twisted and swirled
to make everything better, everything boring
and clean and precise, no death tolls or goring.
People should know what is coming for them
so they can get fixed up all proper and trim
so nobody harms them, nobody gripes,
and no wars will happen, so nobody's sniped.
